Mission Statement
The Northwest Montana Westerners' mission is to encourage and promote interest in, research in, and archiving of the history of the American West in general and Northwest Montana in specific. In pursuit of this mission, we will:
● Promote Posse development, through opportunities for fellowship and by providing educational and cultural events related to the American West and Northwest Montana.
● Encourage pride in the American West and Northwest Montana and its history and local and regional history, traditions, and lore.
● Support and promote history programs in schools, museums, and other institutions illuminating the histories of the American West and Northwest Montana.
● Provide special recognition for writers, artists, and students who strive for excellence in areas related to the history of the West and Northwest Montana.
